GMP is a certification that confirms a pharmaceutical manufacturer has the appropriate facilities to produce medicines. A Korea Corus official evaluated, "This certification is significant as it is the world's first case of receiving Russian GMP certification for the production of Sputnik vaccines outside Russia."
With the completion of GMP certification, Korea Corus has finished preparing the first shipment of 4.5 million doses of the finished Sputnik Light vaccine product and is sending sample quantities to Russia for pre-shipment quality verification by the Gamaleya Institute. Once shipment approval is granted in Russia, the shipment will proceed, and an additional 3 million doses of finished products will be prepared by the second week of next month to continue regular product exports.
