Jeonbuk Province Signs Business Agreement to Promote Independent Film Industry Development


[Jeonju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Jeonbuk Province announced on the 26th that the Jeonbuk Independent Film Association, a corporation, and KT&G Jeonbuk Headquarters held a 'Business Agreement Ceremony for the Activation of Regional-Based Film Education Projects.'


The agreement ceremony was attended by Governor Song Ha-jin, Park Young-wan, Chairman of the Jeonbuk Independent Film Association, and Lee Woon-jae, Head of KT&G Jeonbuk Headquarters, who shared their intentions for the development of the Jeonbuk film industry.


This agreement was prepared to support the discovery of projects for film production and enhancement of filmmakers' capabilities, as well as to promote the development of the Jeonbuk film industry and exchange between institutions.


The main contents of the agreement include △ discovering and supporting projects for film production and enhancement of filmmakers' capabilities △ promoting educational projects for filmmakers in the Jeonbuk region △ supporting projects necessary for the development of the Jeonbuk film industry and the mutual benefit of institutions.


Governor Song Ha-jin said, "Through this business agreement, by mutually cooperating to carry out projects for the development of local film culture and the training of professionals, we expect more active participation not only from filmmakers in the province but also from university students."
