Top E-commerce Services by Estimated Cumulative Payment Amount in Q3: Naver, Coupang, Baedal Minjok in Order

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The e-commerce services with the highest cumulative estimated payment amounts in the third quarter of this year were Naver, Coupang, and Baedal Minjok, respectively.

On the 26th, app analysis service WiseApp revealed this after investigating the estimated payment amounts of e-commerce services most frequently paid by Koreans.

According to WiseApp's sample survey of amounts paid by Koreans aged 20 and over using credit cards, debit cards, and bank transfers, the e-commerce services with the highest cumulative payments up to the third quarter of this year were Naver, Coupang, Baedal Minjok, eBay Korea, 11st, and SSG.COM, in that order.

The e-commerce service with the largest estimated payment amount was Naver, which increased by 37% from 19.6509 trillion KRW in the cumulative third quarter of last year to 26.8763 trillion KRW in the cumulative third quarter of this year.

Coupang grew by 57%, from 15.6817 trillion KRW in the cumulative third quarter of last year to 24.6212 trillion KRW in the cumulative third quarter of this year. Baedal Minjok increased by 90%, from 7.3116 trillion KRW in the cumulative third quarter of last year to 13.8664 trillion KRW in the cumulative third quarter of this year. eBay Korea rose from 12.8766 trillion KRW in the cumulative third quarter of last year to 13.0689 trillion KRW in the cumulative third quarter of this year.

11st and SSG.COM also increased by 18% and 24%, respectively, compared to the previous year.

This survey was based on sample data of payments made by Koreans aged 20 and over using credit cards, debit cards, bank transfers, and mobile micropayments, excluding corporate cards, corporate bank transfers, and inter-company transactions.
