2300 Applicants for Mando R&D Recruitment... Software Developer Competition Ratio 40 to 1

Mando to Compose 40% of Global R&D Center Staff as Software Researchers by 2025

2300 Applicants for Mando R&D Recruitment... Software Developer Competition Ratio 40 to 1

[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Mando announced on the 26th that more than 2,300 applicants applied for talent recruitment at its headquarters (Research and Development Center) in Pangyo, Gyeonggi Province.

The competition rate was 40 to 1 for software (SW) developers and 300 to 1 for production technology engineers.

The main purpose of this Mando Pangyo headquarters talent recruitment is to discover mobility software developers. To realize technological convergence and new customer value in electric vehicles (EV) and autonomous driving, Mando established the 'SW Campus' last April and is accelerating the development of complex and diverse software solutions such as over-the-air updates (OTA), cybersecurity, and cloud computing.

In particular, Mando is aggressively investing in related fields in cooperation with global automakers and is actively investing in software development human resources. Mando plans to have 40 percent of the personnel at its global R&D centers be software researchers by 2025.

Lee Jin-hwan, head of the SW Campus, stated, "Just as Mando's electric products and EVs are growing together, software products will also harmonize with the development of EV electric chassis integration technology in the future," adding, "To advance Mando, we plan to recruit SW-related developers even if we have to visit Silicon Valley."
