GS Retail launches hot packs in partnership with Cyworld... "Targeting emotions from MZ generation to 40s" GS Retail will start selling two types of Cyworld-themed warm packs from the 28th.

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] GS Retail announced on the 26th that starting from the 28th, it will launch two types of Cyworld-themed hot pack products through GS25, GS The Fresh, and Lalavla. The introduction of these hot pack products has been brought forward by more than two weeks compared to previous years due to the sudden cold wave.


The two hot pack products are collaborative items jointly planned with Cyworld, the pioneer of the metaverse. The packaging features Cyworld characters along with the phrase "Do you remember our warm winter," creating an emotional point that resonates with consumers from the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) to those in their 40s. The small size maintains warmth for up to 12 hours, and the large size for up to 15 hours, with a maximum temperature of 70 degrees Celsius.


A GS Retail official stated, "We add memories and warm emotions to our annual winter products, and our new product launch process has become precise enough to analyze the release timing through data analysis," adding, "Various Cyworld collaboration products are expected to receive wide love from the MZ generation to consumers in their 40s."


Meanwhile, GS Retail plans to open an exclusive shopping channel within Cyworld. Cyworld users will be able to access the Cyworld shopping channel to quickly purchase desired products through convenience store GS25, supermarket GS The Fresh, and other outlets, with partnerships being promoted to enable the use of quick commerce services as well.
