[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Hanjin announced on the 26th that it received a letter of appreciation from the National Police Agency in recognition of its contribution to finding long-term missing children.
This award was given in honor of the 76th Police Day, acknowledging Hanjin's continuous efforts with the 'Hope Tape Campaign.'
The Hope Tape Campaign is a campaign planned by the National Police Agency on May 25th last year, 'World Missing Children's Day,' to raise public awareness and participation regarding long-term missing children by attaching tape containing information about missing children?such as their appearance at the time of disappearance and their current estimated appearance recreated using the police agency's 'age-progressed composite sketch' technology?to delivery boxes.
Since May, to further strengthen the Hope Tape Campaign, the QR code printed on the Hope Tape has been linked with the Safe Dream App provided by the Police Support Center for Children, Women, and Disabled Persons, allowing inquiries and reports about missing children, as well as a newly applied feature to pre-store children's fingerprints to prevent disappearances.
Hanjin has requested the use of Hope Tape on approximately 930,000 delivery boxes from last year to the present by selling the Hope Tape to client companies and encouraging their participation.
A Hanjin official stated, “We will continue the Hope Tape Campaign so that children can return to their families as soon as possible through public interest and participation in long-term missing children.”
