Up to 15% Discount at Discount Stores, Convenience Stores, Hospitals, and More
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Samsung Card announced on the 26th that it will launch the 'Samsung Haetsallon Card,' a card product available through the guarantee of the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency, to expand financial product options for customers who have difficulty obtaining credit cards.
Scheduled to be released on the 27th, this card offers up to a 15% payment day discount in shopping, daily convenience areas, and medical services.
First, in shopping, a combined payment day discount of up to 15% is provided based on the previous month's usage amount at discount stores, online shopping malls, Olive Young, and Daiso, up to 7,000 KRW per month. In the daily convenience area, a combined payment day discount of up to 15% is available up to 7,000 KRW per month at coffee shops, convenience stores, delivery app affiliated stores, and fresh food delivery merchants, based on the previous month's usage amount. Additionally, when used at hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and veterinary hospitals, a combined payment day discount of up to 15% is provided up to 7,000 KRW per month based on the previous month's usage amount.
If the previous month's usage amount is 300,000 KRW or more, the cardholder can receive a 30% payment day discount up to 3,000 KRW per month when making regular payments of 6,000 KRW or more per transaction for streaming services such as Netflix, Wavve, TVING, Watcha, Melon, and FLO.
The annual fee is 5,000 KRW. As a domestic-only product, it can be applied for through the Samsung Card website or application after applying for a guarantee with the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency and completing the guarantee contract through screening.
A Samsung Card official said, "We launched the 'Samsung Haetsallon Card' to participate in the government's intention to expand financial product options for customers who have difficulty obtaining credit cards," adding, "We plan to continuously provide various services for our customers in the future."
