[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Professor Shin Yong-min of the Department of German Language and Literature, College of Humanities, Gyeongsang National University, has received the 'Paper of the Year' award.
The Korean Society of German Language and Literature selected the paper on the differential marking of objects in German physical impact verbs as the Paper of the Year among those published in the past year at the regular academic conference held at Kyungpook National University on the 22nd. The author of this paper, Professor Shin Yong-min of Gyeongsang National University, was awarded a certificate and prize money.
Professor Shin Yong-min, Vice President for Academic Affairs at Gyeongsang National University, is an expert in comparative grammar and linguistic typology. He has presented papers at the World Congress of Linguists and published research articles in 'Linguistics,' a top-tier A&HCI (Arts and Humanities Citation Index) journal in the field of linguistics.
Currently, Professor Shin is conducting research under a project related to 'comparative grammar and linguistic typology' funded by the National Research Foundation of Korea.
