Support for Online Learning Programs for Dyslexic Students
Cooperation in Training Retired Teachers as Dyslexia Experts
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education announced that it will sign a business agreement with Kookmin University on the 25th to support students with dyslexia and to train retired teachers as dyslexia experts.
The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education and Kookmin University will collaborate to train dyslexia experts to support students who face learning difficulties due to dyslexia and dyslexic phenomena.
The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education's 'Education Life Second Act Support Center' conducts various educational support activities utilizing the expertise of retired educators, while Kookmin University's ‘ERiD Reading and Writing Clinical Center’ operates the largest dyslexia education clinical clinic in Korea aimed at preventing and resolving dyslexia and dyslexic phenomena.
Kookmin University plans to actively promote ▲ online learning programs for students with dyslexia and volunteer support for the dyslexia education support group ▲ training courses for retired teachers to become dyslexia experts, and qualification courses for specialists in learning disabilities such as dyslexia.
The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education stated, "By providing retired teachers' professional and customized individual support and dyslexia treatment programs to students with dyslexia, more effective support for dyslexic students is expected."
