[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] LG Electronics announced on the 25th that it is operating the production line for the 'DIOS Kimchi Tok Tok Objet Collection' at its kimchi refrigerator production line in Changwon, Gyeongnam, in full swing ahead of the peak kimchi-making season.
LG Electronics explained that this is to ensure sufficient supply as many customers are expected to rush to make kimchi due to the October cold snap, the first in 17 years.
According to LG Electronics, since the launch of the new Objet Collection product at the end of September, the Objet Collection has accounted for more than 40% of LG's stand-type kimchi refrigerator sales.
The LG DIOS Kimchi Tok Tok Objet Collection features ▲ the industry's only AI customized storage function that can store nine types of packaged kimchi from leading domestic kimchi brands such as CJ CheilJedang Bibigo, Daesang Jongga Jip, and Pulmuone ▲ New Probiotic Kimchi+ which increases probiotics that enhance kimchi flavor up to 57 times compared to normal storage mode ▲ small kimchi containers and transparent lid kimchi containers applied for customer convenience.
Customers can choose from Objet Collection materials and colors such as Phoenix, mainly used in premium furniture, and stainless steel, which gives a luxurious feel.
