[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] The Seo-gu Council of Gwangju Metropolitan City (Chairman Kim Tae-young) recently announced that it held a 'Mandatory Education for Council Members' by inviting two professional instructors on corruption prevention and violence prevention to the plenary session hall.
The education consisted of ▲Corruption Prevention Education (Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, Code of Conduct for Public Officials) conducted by instructor Kim Beom-tae from the Korea Human Rights Education Institute ▲Violence Prevention Education (sexual harassment, sexual violence, prostitution, domestic violence) led by Jo Yi-hyun, director of The Maum Research Institute.
Chairman Kim Tae-young said, “Council members representing the residents must study diligently from the basics and, based on this, all work together with one heart.” He added, “We will do our best so that the achievements of legislative activities for citizens can blossom on the foundation of fairness, transparency, and trust.”
