The Cultural Heritage Administration to Hold Online Concert 'Gung(HIP·Hip)Hop' Next Month
The Cultural Heritage Administration's Palace and Royal Tombs Division and the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation will hold an online concert titled "Gung(HIP·Hip)Hop" at Changdeokgung Palace from November 1 to 7. Emerging musicians from various fields including traditional music, hip-hop, yoga meditation, electronic music, and classical music will present diverse performances. On November 1, vocalist Go Young-yeol and the Korean House Art Troupe will perform, followed by unique performances on the next day by gayageum player Joo Bora, 'Yoga Wave' founder Jang Min-hee, and actor Hwang Won-kyu. On November 3, musicians Ryan Clad and Go Young-yeol will showcase a joint performance, and the following day, vocalist Jeong Eun-hye will present pansori and oral folklore. On November 5, My Buy, who reinterprets traditional folk songs, will perform, and on the next day, Rabidance, the runner-up of JTBC's 'Phantom Singer 3,' will appear. The final performance on November 7 will feature rapper Nucksal collaborating with daegeum player Kim Si-yul. All performances will be held online to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and can be viewed on the Cultural Heritage Channel's YouTube.
