According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 24th, four new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were diagnosed the previous day, classified as numbers 5300 to 5303.

Among them, one person was a student attending the same high school in Nam-gu as student number 5278, who was confirmed positive on the 20th.

This student developed symptoms during self-quarantine, underwent testing, and was confirmed positive.

Another case was a coworker of a nurse at a hospital in Gwangju who had previously tested positive for COVID-19. At the hospital, after another nurse was confirmed positive on the 21st, all staff were tested. Except for one additional confirmed case, the rest tested negative in the first round.

One infection was related to a confirmed case from other regions such as Seoul, and one case was linked to a construction site in Gwangsan-gu.

The confirmed case related to the Gwangsan-gu construction site was diagnosed positive after symptoms appeared during a test before release from quarantine.
