Why Is Gwanak-gu the Only District in Seoul to Receive 'Customized Visiting Health and Welfare Service Consulting'?

Ministry of the Interior and Safety Hosts Customized Consulting; 15 Local Governments Nationwide Selected... Discussing Health and Welfare Collaboration, Public-Private Cooperation, and Village Welfare Plan Directions to Revitalize Health and Welfare Services

Why Is Gwanak-gu the Only District in Seoul to Receive 'Customized Visiting Health and Welfare Service Consulting'?

[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) held the '2021 Customized Consulting for the Basic Plan of Visiting Health and Welfare Services' hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety on the 15th.

Since 2019, basic local governments nationwide have been establishing basic plans for visiting health and welfare services to provide health and welfare services tailored to regional characteristics. This year, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety selected 15 basic local governments for consulting.

This is to review each local government's basic plan for visiting health and welfare services and suggest concrete implementation tasks to assist in solving regional problems.

The Ministry of the Interior and Safety selected areas mainly with potential for local welfare and established resident participation systems through prior applications, with Gwanak-gu being the only district selected in Seoul.

The consulting session strictly adhered to COVID-19 prevention guidelines, with 12 essential participants attending.

The district received high praise for specificity and feasibility in areas such as establishing the basic plan, and there were passionate discussions among participants regarding health and welfare collaboration, public-private cooperation for revitalizing health and welfare services, and directions for village welfare plans.

Through this consulting, the district plans to re-examine its existing directions and strategies and establish and implement a basic plan for visiting health and welfare services focused on improving residents' welfare perception and discovering and resolving complex local health and welfare needs.

A district official said, “This consulting has become an opportunity for Gwanak-type health and welfare services to take a step forward, and based on this, we will strive to create a happy welfare Gwanak-gu for all.”
