The Busan branch of the Korean Red Cross supports underprivileged students every year with funds raised through the 'Hope Sharing Angel School' program.
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education plans to provide scholarships from the educational donation to 35 students from underprivileged families in the Busan area.
Superintendent Kim Seok-jun said, "Despite the difficult situation due to COVID-19, we are grateful for the support of educational donations to improve the academic achievement of underprivileged students," and added, "We will continue to support students so that they can pursue their dreams even in challenging environments."
