Suncheon City, Capture Your Life Photos at Suncheonman National Garden

[Suncheon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Heo Seok) announced on the 22nd that it will operate Life Photo Days every Friday and Saturday until the 20th of next month, providing photography services to visitors.

This event, held at Suncheonman Bay National Garden to ensure the successful hosting of the 2023 Suncheonman Bay International Garden Expo and to promote garden culture through photography, accepts applications via an online platform, and photography subjects are selected on a first-come, first-served basis by date.

Selected participants will receive photography services from young photographers of the Department of Photography Arts at Suncheon National University at about 5 to 10 Life Photo Points.

The photos taken will be used to promote Suncheonman Bay National Garden.

This event began with finding hidden spots ideal for taking Life Photos at Suncheonman Bay National Garden.

From August to last month, Suncheonman Bay National Garden selected 20 hidden photography points perfect for Life Photos.

The selected locations range from lesser-known places such as the Medicinal Plant Garden and Myeongwonjeong Pavilion to well-known spots for photography like the Italian Garden and Metasequoia Road.

Even well-known places were selected because photographing them from different angles can create completely different impressions in photos.

A representative from the Suncheon National University Photo Culture Research Institute, which is organizing the event, said, “There are truly many hidden photography points in Suncheonman Bay National Garden. We hope visitors enjoy taking and sharing photos at various points and that this will contribute to the development of garden and photography culture.”

A city official said, “We hope many visitors create beautiful autumn memories at Suncheonman Bay National Garden through Life Photo Days and capture life photos with family, friends, and lovers through the sophisticated sensibilities of young photographers.”

Meanwhile, for visitors who could not apply in advance, a Life Photo Photo Booth will be operated on-site without prior application.

The photo booth is planned to be operated at Metasequoia Road and may change depending on operational circumstances.
