Why Did Gwangjin District Council Members Visit Junggok-dong Integrated Medical Complex?

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] During the 247th extraordinary session, the Gwangjin District Council (Chairperson Park Sam-rye) visited four major facilities, including the Junggok-dong Comprehensive Medical Complex, on the 20th to review the progress of ongoing projects.

This visit was planned to inspect the operation status and progress by visiting public facilities and construction sites, to review potential issues that may arise during the implementation process, and to suggest developmental directions.

In the morning, the council checked the progress of projects at the Park Golf Course area along the Jungnangcheon Stream, the embankment specialization project site, and the Junggok-dong Comprehensive Medical Complex, conveyed residents' requests, and proposed efficient management plans to increase usage rates and enhance resident satisfaction.

In particular, at the Junggok-dong Comprehensive Medical Complex, due to the limited parking space relative to the building size and number of occupants, strict measures were requested to prevent parking problems in the surrounding area by promoting public transportation use and restricting vehicles of tenant facilities. In the afternoon, the council visited the Gwangjang-dong Multipurpose Public Complex, Achasan Eoullim Square, and Donghaeng Forest Trail to receive status reports, listen to operational difficulties, and inspect overall facility safety management.

Chairperson Park Sam-rye stated, “It was a valuable time to review the overall major projects and identify complaints and issues arising during the implementation process,” and urged, “Please carefully review so that the problems and suggestions raised during this field inspection can be sufficiently reflected at the project sites.” She added, “We will continue to be a council that thinks from the residents' perspective,” and expressed her ambition to “lead district administration through communication and cooperation.”

The Gwangjin District Council plans to hold the 2nd plenary session on the last day of the session, the 21st, to process the submitted agenda items and then close the 247th extraordinary session.
