The Wanju County Dementia Safety Center Kakao channel is a service that enables local residents who have difficulties going outside due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic to conveniently use dementia management services from home.
The channel provides useful information such as an introduction to the Dementia Safety Center, guidance on support services, and the latest information related to dementia.
In addition, through the 1:1 chat function, various consultations are possible, including guidance and reservations for early dementia screening, support for dementia treatment management expenses, and essential documents required for using related services can be easily submitted.
Currently, about 400 people are using the Wanju County Dementia Safety Center Kakao channel, and anyone can use it by searching ‘Wanju County Dementia Safety Center’ in the KakaoTalk top search bar.
A health center official said, “This is a measure to minimize the care gap for dementia by improving convenience for residents,” and added, “We will make further efforts to spread accurate dementia information in the local community through various media and to increase accessibility to dementia.”
