[Asia Economy Reporter Park Soyeon] Shinpoong Paper is showing strength amid news of corrugated box price increases.
As of 11:22 AM on the 22nd, Shinpoong Paper is trading at 2,780 KRW on the KOSPI market, up 385 KRW (16.08%) from the previous day.
The Korea Corrugated Packaging Industry Cooperative, composed of corrugated box manufacturers, proposed a price increase of around 10% for corrugated boxes to more than 1,000 food and beverage, courier, and transportation companies the day before.
Shinpoong Paper has a market capitalization of 97.7 billion KRW and ranks 879th on the KOSPI.
