[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] KT, which is promoting its transition to a 'digital platform company (Digico),' is taking the lead in creating a smart home ecosystem.


KT announced on the 22nd that it held the 'Smart+Interior B2B Strategy Seminar' at the KT Songpa Building. The seminar was hosted by the Smart+Interior Forum of the Korea Smart Home Industry Association, where KT serves as the vice-chair company of the Smart+Interior Forum.


At the seminar, member companies of the Korea Smart Home Industry Association, including Samsung Electronics, LH Korea Land & Housing Corporation, Hanssem, Grab, and CG Lighting, shared trends in smart home interior and space remodeling.


The member companies experienced KT's AI/DX platforms and services such as ▲Robot Cafe featuring disinfection robots, barista robots, and serving robots ▲Environmental DX platform including oxygen supply and indoor air quality monitors ▲Digico Workplace and blockchain DID (Decentralized Identifier) mobile employee ID cards. They also participated in the official tour program of KT affiliate 'Sofitel Ambassador Hotel' to experience KT AI hotel services applied at Sofitel.


KT introduced future strategies for its AI/DX Space business, including AI lift services for existing apartments, AI hotel and care businesses, and 'Environmental DX Solutions' for ventilation and indoor air quality management. Along with this, KT expressed its ambition to launch 'SDaaS (Space DX as a Service),' an AI-based space-specialized service, in response to changes in the industrial environment.


Song Jae-ho, President of the Korea Smart Home Industry Association and Head of KT AI/DX Convergence Business Division (Vice President), said, "The Smart+Interior B2B Strategy Seminar was a meaningful time to introduce KT's leading platform and exchange smart home information," adding, "KT will continue to showcase smart and convenient AI/DX Space services through its own technologies and cooperation with other companies."
