[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] The Korea Road Traffic Authority announced on the 22nd that it has decided to cooperate with delivery service companies Saenggakdaero and Woahan Cheongnyeon to support each other and collaborate on promotional events such as campaigns to improve traffic safety awareness for two-wheeled vehicle riders.
Through this collaboration, the Korea Road Traffic Authority will develop educational programs to enhance delivery riders' traffic safety awareness and provide instructors to conduct the training. Additionally, it will collaborate on promotions and campaigns for safe driving by delivery riders and provide leaflets related to safe driving.
Saenggakdaero and Woahan Cheongnyeon will distribute educational materials and conduct safety campaigns at rider rest areas and regional hubs, working together to foster traffic safety awareness among two-wheeled vehicle riders.
Kim Man-bae, head of the Education Headquarters at the Korea Road Traffic Authority, said, "With the expansion of the delivery platform market due to COVID-19, traffic accidents involving two-wheeled vehicles are also increasing. The Authority will cooperate with both companies to leverage each other's capabilities to cultivate delivery riders' traffic safety awareness and create a safe two-wheeled vehicle service ecosystem."
