[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Saerom] The Gyeongsangnam-do Office of Education will hold a total of 27 sessions of the "All Together Practicing Education Activity-Centered School Organization Restructuring Workshop" for about 1,000 elementary school vice principals and teachers from the 21st to November 26th.
Since 2014, the office has been steadily working to reduce teachers' administrative tasks so that schools can focus on student-centered educational activities.
This workshop will be conducted in a participatory and practical format to restructure school organizations from education administration-centered to education activity-centered, restoring the essence of education, analyzing tasks through democratic decision-making processes, and establishing a culture of mutual cooperation.
Various cases of operating education activity-centered organizational structures will also be shared to provide practical help in the field.
Lee Oesook, Director of School Innovation Division, emphasized, "Everyone's effort is necessary to restore the essence. When the reduction and integration of tasks at individual schools allow teachers to focus solely on educational activities, children will be happy at school, and we can move toward innovative future education."
Meanwhile, the Gyeongnam Office of Education plans to continuously provide counseling for the reorganization of education activity-centered organizations and has published and distributed the "Guidebook for Strengthening Democratic Decision-Making Competencies" to enhance cooperation and practice of tasks at individual schools.
