Opening Ceremony of the Street Photogenic Event in Hongdae Festival Street (Seogyo-dong 365-28) Area

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Mapo-gu (Mayor Yudonggyun) held the opening ceremony of the Street Photogenic Event at 10 a.m. on the 21st around Hongdae Festival Street (365-28 Seogyo-dong).

Since the 20th, the district has been displaying a large balloon bear called "Hug Bear," standing 8 meters tall, on Hongdae Festival Street to convey messages of comfort and hope to citizens weary from COVID-19.

At the event, Mayor Yudonggyun of Mapo-gu, along with the Mapo Culture and Tourism Association and the Hongdae Merchants Association, listened to an explanation of artist Jibin Lim's work in front of the "Hug Bear" and took photos.

Additionally, ahead of Mapo-gu's representative festival, the 14th Mapo Naru Saeujeot Festival, disinfection and sanitation were carried out from Hongdae Festival Street to the Mapo Tourism Information Center (145-3 Eoulmadang-ro) to safely welcome tourists.
