Gwangju Dong-gu Startup Support Center Actively Supports Solo Entrepreneurs

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] Dong-gu, Gwangju (Mayor Im Taek) announced on the 21st that it will hold the startup school ‘2021 G-IN Startup Academy’ until the 24th to promote the culture of one-person startup entrepreneurship and activate startups.


This startup school, conducted in collaboration with the Gwangju Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (Center Director Ha Sang-yong), is a program that supports one-person prospective entrepreneurs and startup companies to achieve successful startups through entrepreneurship education and information provision.


The program invites experts from various fields and covers diverse topics related to startups, including ▲entrepreneurial spirit ▲lean startup and practice ▲Naver blog marketing ▲practical marketing using SNS ▲intellectual property rights ▲how to write a business plan, among others.


In particular, the final 6th session is a practical training where participants can revise and supplement their business plans with on-site coaching from experts.


Dong-gu plans to provide various benefits to those who complete the startup school education, such as issuing certificates of completion, preferential treatment when applying for various support projects, startup consulting support, investment attraction, and linkage to commercialization programs of the startup support center.


Im Taek, Mayor of Dong-gu, said, “Through this intensive startup education, I hope participants gain confidence in entrepreneurship as well as practical assistance,” adding, “We will continue to actively support healthy startups in Dong-gu, a great place to work.”
