Suncheon City Council Holds Interim Report Meeting for Research Project Preparing for Post-Corona Era

[Suncheon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] The Suncheon City Council’s “Post-Corona Suncheon City Proactive Response Strategy Research Group (hereinafter Post-Corona Research Group, Chairperson Lee Bok-nam)” announced on the 21st that it held a mid-term report meeting for its research project in a small conference room at the Suncheon City Council the day before.

The Post-Corona Research Group has been working to investigate the impact of COVID-19 on Suncheon City and analyze support policies, aiming to discover Suncheon-type livelihood economy revitalization policies that can be continuously implemented even in the event of similar infectious disease situations.

Starting its full-scale activities on July 21 with a kickoff report meeting under the theme “The Impact of COVID-19 on the Local Community and Measures to Revitalize the Livelihood Economy,” the group held a mid-term report meeting on the 20th and plans to hold a final report meeting on the 23rd of next month.

In addition, Lee Bok-nam, the chairperson of the Post-Corona Research Group, stated, “As the COVID-19 situation continues, we will conduct in-depth research to examine and analyze the current situation from the citizens’ perspective and to develop policies that can be utilized in similar future situations.”

Meanwhile, the Suncheon City Council Post-Corona Research Group consists of 10 council members including Lee Bok-nam, Moon Kyu-jun, Jang Sook-hee, Nam Jung-ok, Na An-su, Kim Young-jin, Park Hye-jung, Park Jae-won, Kim Mi-ae, and Park Jong-ho. Since last September, they have conducted various activities such as meetings and expert lectures, and have actively carried out research activities in preparation for the post-corona era, including enacting the “Ordinance on the Prevention and Management of Infectious Diseases in Suncheon City.”
