[Jeonju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] The Council of Chairs of City and County Councils in Jeonbuk (Chairman Kang Dong-hwa of Jeonju City Council) held the 268th monthly meeting on the 21st at Jangsu County Council and urged the attraction of a racetrack within LetsRun Farm Jangsu Ranch.
At the meeting, the council adopted the "Proposal to Attract a Racetrack at LetsRun Farm Jangsu Ranch," stating, "Jeonbuk is a horse industry special zone connected by five cities and counties. The current horse industry, based on agriculture and rural areas, should attract a racetrack as a new growth engine," and argued, "Jangsu County, equipped with a horse industry environment including LetsRun Farm Jangsu Ranch, Korea Racing High School, and Equestrian Leisure Park, is the optimal place for the growth of the horse racing industry."
Furthermore, the council said, "Attracting a racetrack within LetsRun Farm Jangsu Ranch will play a pivotal role in revitalizing the local economy through increased local tax revenue, job creation, and population inflow, as well as balanced regional development," and urged, "The government and Korea Racing Authority should actively work to attract the 5th racetrack in the Honam region within LetsRun Farm Jangsu Ranch."
Meanwhile, LetsRun Farm Jangsu Ranch has established itself as a rear base supporting the horse racing business by improving the quality of racehorses through the production, breeding, and training of riding horses.
