[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] The AI Convergence Talent Development Project Group at Honam University (Director Jeong Young-gi) announced on the 21st that it visited the Gwangju AI Startup Camp on the 20th to conduct the PRE Internship AI Company Exploration and AI Startup Camp program.

Professor Lee Seung-yong (Department of Future Automotive Engineering) and eight students from the AI Convergence College participated in this program. They visited promising companies such as ‘GamseongTech’ located within the Gwangju AI Startup Camp and other excellent AI companies to directly experience the practical work environment and conduct field training, including understanding the development status of AI startup companies.

Additionally, through a briefing session on the startup support project within the AI Startup Camp hosted by the Artificial Intelligence Industry Convergence Project Group, participants had a valuable time engaging in Q&A sessions.

The participating students expressed high satisfaction, saying, “It was a valuable time to directly visit and experience various AI-related startup companies, including institutions related to AI (Gwangju AI Startup Camp) and tenant companies within the institution.”

Meanwhile, as part of the AI Convergence College Support Project, the Convergence Talent Development Project Group conducted the first PRE Internship on the 13th by visiting excellent AI companies including ‘Namu Intelligence,’ a tenant company of ‘I-PLEX Gwangju,’ providing on-site experience, recruitment guidance, and job-related mentoring.
