'2021 Nexen Tire Speed Racing' Round 6 to be Held on the 24th

'2021 Nexen Tire Speed Racing' Round 6 to be Held on the 24th

[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Nexen Tire announced on the 21st that the 6th round of the '2021 Nexen Tire Speed Racing,' sponsored by the company, will be held on the 24th at Inje Speedium in Inje-gun, Gangwon Province.

The Speed Racing competition is the largest domestic car racing event sponsored by Nexen Tire since 2006, consisting of a total of seven classes including six Sprint classes and one Time Target class. Nexen Tire's racing-specific semi-slick tire, 'N'Fera SUR4G,' is used as the official tire in the Sprint classes.

About 140 vehicles will participate in this 6th round, which will be held without spectators due to the impact of COVID-19. Entry is allowed only for a minimal number of event personnel who have completed vaccination or have tested 'negative' in advance through PCR testing.

The final 7th round of Speed Racing, which has been ongoing since the opening round in May, is scheduled to be held next month.

In addition to this event, Nexen Tire also sponsors the official tires for BMW M and Cadillac CT4 in the CJ Logistics Superrace Championship. On the same day, the 4th round of the Superrace Championship will feature Nexen Tire's 'N'Fera Racing Team,' launched last August to strengthen domestic motorsports, participating in the Super 6000 class.

Furthermore, Nexen Tire promotes its technology by participating in various domestic and international motorsports events such as Germany's 24-hour endurance race (ADAC Total 24h Race) and the N?rburgring endurance race series.
