[Asia Economy Reporter Seulgina Cho] Online video service (OTT) Wavve is presenting a high-quality original documentary that combines technology and documentary filmmaking.
Wavve announced that starting from the 21st, it will exclusively provide KBS's "Kiss the Universe" on its OTT platform. The series can be watched simultaneously with the original broadcast every Thursday at 10 PM on Wavve until November 4th.
"Kiss the Universe" is a Wavve original documentary that unravels the challenges posed to humanity living on Earth within the awe-inspiring universe. It has attracted attention with its fresh format that combines documentary and experiential content.
The series consists of three episodes. Beginning with episode 1, "Earth's Last Day," on the 21st, followed by episode 2, "Martian Humanity," on the 28th, and the final episode, "Cosmos Sapiens," airing on November 4th. Through advanced visual technologies such as augmented reality (AR) and video walls, it aims to vividly recreate unknown spaces on screen, delivering an immersive experience as if traveling through space firsthand.
Actor Ju Ji-hoon takes on the role of presenter. This marks his first challenge in documentary narration.
The cast is also impressive. Renowned experts from various fields, including Professor Dennis Hong from UCLA's Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department, Dr. Shim Chae-kyung from the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute, and Neil deGrasse Tyson, director of the Hayden Planetarium in New York, will explain in an easy and entertaining way why humanity must venture into space and reveal the true nature of the universe we never knew.
