[Asia Economy Reporter No Woo-rae] ○…The Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour has been hampered by COVID-19 for the second consecutive year.
On the 20th, the KLPGA announced, "We will postpone three overseas regular tour events starting with the Taiwan Ladies Open next month to next year." Beginning with the Taiwan Ladies Open (total prize money $800,000) scheduled for November 15 in Taiwan, followed by the Championship at Twin Doves Golf Club in Vietnam on December 3 (total prize money 700 million KRW), and then the Hana Financial Group Singapore Ladies Open in Singapore on December 10 (total prize money 1 billion KRW).
However, due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation locally, the events have been postponed to next year. These three tournaments were planned to be held after the 2021 season finale, the SK Telecom·ADT Caps Championship on November 12, and to be included in the 2022 season. The KLPGA Tour still has four events remaining this year: the BMW Ladies Championship on the 21st, the SK Networks·Seoul Economic Daily Ladies Classic on the 28th, the S-OIL Championship on November 5, and the SK Telecom·ADT Caps Championship.
