Imsil-gun Conducts 'Smoking Prevention Education' for High School Students


[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] On the 20th, Jeonbuk Imsil-gun (Governor Sim Min) announced that on the 18th, it conducted a non-face-to-face smoking prevention education using augmented reality (AR) for all students of Imsil High School.


Augmented reality (AR) is a technology that overlays three-dimensional virtual images onto real-world images, stimulating the curiosity of students receiving the education and enhancing the educational effect.


The education was conducted via live broadcast, and especially received great response due to the possibility of interactive communication through real-time chat.


A student who participated in the education said, “Receiving education through 3D videos was more interesting and helped me concentrate better,” and added, “Thanks to the education, I realized the harmfulness of cigarettes and smoking, and it was the most memorable education.”


Governor Sim Min said, “In the future, depending on the situation in the ‘With Corona’ era, we will continue to conduct various and effective smoking prevention education to raise awareness of the harms of smoking, establish correct perceptions, and make greater efforts to prevent smoking initiation among growing adolescents.”
