Gwangyang City Promotes Kiwi Through 'Online Festival'

High Consumer Preference Due to Soft Texture and Excellent Nutrition

Gwangyang City Promotes Kiwi Through 'Online Festival'

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Gwangyang City in Jeollanam-do is launching sales promotions for locally produced agricultural products, Gold Kiwi and Red Kiwi, through a 'virtual festival' with star chef Lee Won-il.

The city plans to sell Gwangyang's delicious and high-quality Gold Kiwi and Red Kiwi in real-time via 'Naver Shopping Live' at 11 a.m. on the 25th. Discount coupons will be provided to customers who purchase during the broadcast, and various events are also being prepared during the show.

Even after the live commerce broadcast ends, the products can be seen on LG HelloVision channel a total of five times from October 27 to 29.

The Gold Kiwi and Red Kiwi sold in this broadcast are characterized by lower acidity than green kiwis, resulting in less sourness and a stronger sweetness.

Additionally, they have a soft texture and excellent nutrition, making them highly preferred by consumers and sold at higher prices compared to green kiwis.

Na Seung-do, head of Agricultural Product Marketing, said, "We will widely promote Gwangyang kiwis, which have excellent taste and quality, to consumers through the live commerce channel, which has become a new distribution channel."
