Gyeonggi Office of Education Selects 'NH Nonghyup Bank' as Next Treasury Bank

[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education has selected NH Nonghyup Bank as the financial institution to manage the education office’s budget for the next four years.

On the 19th, the Gyeonggi Office of Education held a treasury designation review committee meeting and evaluated financial institutions that participated in the open competition, announcing on the 20th that NH Nonghyup Bank was designated as the financial institution to handle treasury operations for the next four years.

In this evaluation, NH Nonghyup Bank received relatively high scores in the comprehensive assessment categories including credit rating, stability, deposit and loan interest rates, user convenience, treasury operation management capability, and contributions and cooperative projects with educational institutions.

NH Nonghyup Bank will perform cash and securities receipt and payment, safekeeping, and other treasury operations under the jurisdiction of the Gyeonggi Office of Education from January 1, next year, until December 31, 2025.

Prior to the expiration of the current treasury contract at the end of this year, the Gyeonggi Office of Education proceeded with the treasury designation through an open competition method in accordance with related ordinances.
