[Asia Economy Reporter Seo So-jeong] Starting tomorrow, the same quarantine principles will apply to Korean nationals who received vaccinations overseas as those vaccinated domestically.

The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced on the 19th that from the 20th, the same quarantine principles will be applied to Korean nationals who completed vaccination overseas but do not have a quarantine exemption certificate, just like those who completed vaccination domestically.

This is a follow-up measure to the policy implemented on the 7th, which applied the same quarantine principles to overseas vaccinated individuals holding a quarantine exemption certificate as those vaccinated domestically.

With this measure, people who completed vaccination overseas but could not register in the domestic vaccination system due to lack of a quarantine exemption certificate will now be able to register in the system.

After registration, exceptions to social distancing capacity limits, quarantine exemptions upon re-entry, and other measures will also apply to overseas vaccinated individuals, greatly alleviating their inconveniences.

The Disease Control Headquarters stated, "If overseas vaccinated individuals visit local public health centers and present their overseas vaccination certificates, their vaccination history can be registered in the domestic vaccination system and verified through CooV. We plan to gradually improve the difficulties faced by vaccinated entrants in the future."
