Support for Pregnant Women in Areas Without Delivery Facilities
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Sancheong County Health and Medical Center in Gyeongnam announced on the 19th that it will operate the ‘119 Safe Childbirth Service.’
The ‘119 Safe Childbirth Service,’ promoted in cooperation with the Sancheong Fire Station, was established to support pregnant women in childbirth-vulnerable areas without obstetrics facilities such as obstetrics and gynecology.
This is a customized reservation service that safely transports pregnant women who are close to their due date or at risk of premature birth to the hospital by making transport reservations according to the expected delivery date and assists with emergency treatment in urgent situations.
Service applications can be made by the individual or their guardian by visiting the fire station, health center, or Multicultural Family Support Center in person, or by accessing the 119 Safety Reporting Center website.
A Health and Medical Center official said, “We hope that pregnant women will receive convenient transport and consultation services through the 119 Safe Childbirth Service,” adding, “We will support them to receive various pregnancy and childbirth support services.”
