[Jangseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jo Hangyu] Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Yoo Doo-seok) announced on the 19th that it recently won the Excellence Award at the ‘2021 Return-to-Farming and Rural Happiness Expo’ held at BEXCO in Busan.
The place that attracted the most attention from urban visitors at the expo was the VR experience booth.
Through the VR program, visitors could virtually experience Jangseong’s representative tourist attractions such as Hwangryonggang River and Jangseongho Lakeside Trail.
After the experience, souvenirs such as watering cans and cypress acupressure sticks were provided, receiving high praise.
Customized consultations and informational brochures providing essential return-to-farming and rural living information were also well received by expo visitors.
High-quality food products and specialties produced in Jangseong, including Shine Muscat grapes, golden apples, handmade traditional snacks, and cypress products, which were displayed in a corner of the venue, also attracted attention.
A county official said, “Our efforts to promote the charm of Yellow City Jangseong through substantial return-to-farming consultations and unique events have led to good results. We will continue to strive to uphold the reputation of ‘Jangseong, the No.1 place for return-to-farming and rural living.’”
