Recruitment of New Electrical Engineering Students Until the 28th
Selection of Bachelor's Degree Holders Regardless of Major
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Ewha Womans University is establishing a Graduate School of Data Science to cultivate convergent talents equipped with data management, analysis, and utilization capabilities.
Ewha Womans University announced on the 19th that it will recruit new students for the first semester of the 2022 academic year until the 28th. The master's program selects bachelor's degree holders (or expected graduates) who aspire to become data science professionals regardless of their undergraduate major.
The Graduate School of Data Science at Ewha Womans University has excellent full-time faculty with global capabilities in the field of data science and offers an interdisciplinary curriculum including statistics, computer engineering, and business administration. It aims to train data science professionals with multidimensional skills in technology, analysis, and business, as well as practical problem-solving abilities.
Data science is an advanced academic field that refers to a convergent discipline utilizing scientific methodologies, processes, algorithms, and systems necessary to extract knowledge and information from data. Although it is rapidly growing, there is a shortage of skilled personnel.
The program offers an optimal curriculum that meets the re-education demands of not only general undergraduate graduates aspiring to enter the data science field but also working professionals who want to grow into data science experts with AI knowledge in companies. Lectures are conducted with online conceptual learning on weekdays and offline classes on weekends for application and in-depth study. Through a flipped learning-based integrated online and offline curriculum, students can obtain a master's degree in data science within two years.
Based on future student demand, tracks such as Financial Big Data, Social Marketing, Healthcare, and Smart City will be operated to enhance problem-solving skills.
