Gwangju Chamber of Commerce Holds Promotional Meeting for Products of Promising Gwangju Companies

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Chairman Jeong Chang-seon) held the ‘Gwangju Promising Companies Product BtoB Promotion Meeting’ on the 19th at the conference room on the 7th floor of the chamber building.

This meeting was promoted as part of the Gwangju Job Creation Innovation Project ‘Support for Promising Companies’ Future Core Technology Convergence Package,’ supported by Gwangju Metropolitan City and the Gwangju Regional Employment and Labor Office, with about 40 attendees including executives and employees of local construction companies, local journalists, and representatives of promotional companies.

According to the Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry, due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic causing an economic downturn, local companies are inevitably facing a sharp decline in sales and a drop in employment rates. This meeting was planned to support companies’ marketing and market development.

The promotional companies participating in the meeting were five companies: DK Co., Ltd., Beomwoo Co., Ltd., Gwangmyeong Bio Industry Co., Ltd., Jikida, and Dagong S&T Co., Ltd. The meeting proceeded with introductions of products and technologies, Q&A sessions, and suggestions for product and technology improvements.

Chae Hwa-seok, Executive Director of the Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said, “Many promising companies possess technological capabilities and marketability but face difficulties in market development due to a lack of marketing capacity.” He added, “We will actively support by regularly holding promotional meetings to provide opportunities for local promising companies to enter new markets and serve as a catalyst for the advancement of local industries and job creation.”
