[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Shin Dong-ho] The Administrative Welfare Center of Nongsung 2-dong, Seo-gu, Gwangju (Director Heo Soon-seok) will select two vulnerable second-year high school students in the district and implement the ‘Nongi Village Blue Growth Savings Account Support Project’ for one year from next month until October of next year.
According to Nongsung 2-dong, Seo-gu, on the 19th, this support project is designed for children from difficult families such as single-parent households to save 25,000 KRW monthly, and the Community Social Security Council will add 100,000 KRW to the children’s accounts in their names.
This project holds special significance as it was made possible by a meaningful donation from Lee Ok-seon, CEO of Kwangshin Housing Co., Ltd., a kind store owner who wishes to support children during difficult times.
The collected donations will be used as initial costs for social advancement, such as tuition and housing expenses when these students enter university.
CEO Lee Ok-seon said, “I am pleased to continue supporting so that the children can grow into prepared members of society,” and added, “We will continue to provide ongoing support.”
Heo Soon-seok, Director of Nongsung 2-dong, said, “I am grateful to the Community Social Security Council for discovering meaningful specialized projects this year as well, giving dreams and hope to the youth,” and added, “We will do our best to create a warm and caring Nongsung 2-dong where neighbors share affection and live together.”
