Kim Seon-ho Speaks Out on Abortion Coercion Allegation: "Fact-Checking Underway"

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] Kim Seonho, identified as actor K who was accused of coercing abortion under the pretense of marriage, has finally spoken out.

Salt Entertainment explained on the 19th that "the company is currently verifying the facts of the anonymously posted article," explaining the delay in their statement.

The agency said, "Since the facts have not yet been clearly confirmed, we earnestly ask you to wait a little longer," and added, "We sincerely apologize for causing concern due to this unfortunate matter."

On the 18th, a post was published on an online community claiming that the 'rising star' actor K forced an abortion on a child conceived during their relationship starting early last year. The author stated that K coerced the abortion under the premise of marriage but suddenly broke up after the procedure, causing aftereffects severe enough to disrupt daily life. The post also revealed character-related allegations, saying K's usual demeanor was different. In a follow-up post, the author mentioned having evidence such as photos but refrained from disclosing them due to legal issues.

Subsequently, YouTuber Lee Jin-ho claimed in his video that actor K is Kim Seonho. Attempts to confirm the facts with Salt Entertainment were met with silence from the agency. Meanwhile, a pizza company that had employed Kim Seonho as a model deleted all his posts on social media, intensifying suspicions.

Additionally, Shin Min-a, who co-starred with Kim Seonho in the tvN drama Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, announced the cancellation of the scheduled finale interview on the 19th late on the 18th. Kim Seonho’s interview, scheduled for the 20th, is also expected to be canceled.
