Foreigners and Institutions Lead... KOSPI Starts Higher

[Asia Economy Reporter Ji Yeon-jin] The KOSPI index started trading on the 19th with an upward trend due to simultaneous buying by foreigners and institutions.

As of 9:16 AM, the KOSPI index opened at 2033.28, up 26.60 points (0.88%) from the previous day. Institutions and foreigners were net buyers of 75.5 billion KRW and 31.7 billion KRW respectively, while individuals were net sellers of approximately 105.7 billion KRW.

At the same time, the KOSDAQ was at 1002.07, up 8.21 points (0.83%). Individuals and institutions were net buyers of 23.7 billion KRW and 1.4 billion KRW respectively, whereas foreigners were net sellers of 18.9 billion KRW.
