[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Carrot General Insurance announced on the 19th that it has launched the 'Carrot School Guard Insurance' to prepare for school violence.

If a student is determined to be a victim of school violence by the School Violence Deliberation Committee, the insurance covers treatment costs for school violence victims and administrative or lawyer fees for handling the damage, as well as coverage for injury-related sequelae caused by daily life accidents.

Additionally, one free consultation with an administrative officer is provided to support appropriate initial response in school violence situations.

The contract is maintained for one year with a single premium payment. The annual premium is around 18,000 KRW for 10-year-old boys and around 16,000 KRW for girls of the same age.

Coverage includes up to 30 million KRW for injury-related sequelae, 1 million KRW for school violence victim treatment, and 1 million KRW for administrative officer and lawyer fees.

A Carrot General Insurance official said, "School violence deeply penetrates daily life, so there will be great interest from parents in the Carrot School Guard Insurance, which supports not only compensation for damages but also initial response," adding, "We will continue to introduce insurance products that can quickly respond to social issues."
