[Wanju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Wanju County held a Childcare Policy Committee (Chairperson Professor Lee Seung-mi) meeting and announced on the 18th that 18 Open Childcare Centers were reviewed and selected.
The Open Childcare Centers aim to prevent child abuse and realize demand-oriented childcare services by expanding parental participation through facility openness and creating a trustworthy childcare environment.
Wanju County accepted applications for Open Childcare Centers starting August 30, and after document and on-site evaluations, reviewed five categories: openness, participation, sustainability, diversity, and local government standards. As a result, a total of 18 centers were finally selected as Open Childcare Centers this year, including 6 newly selected and 12 reselected centers.
With this, a total of 29 Open Childcare Centers, including the existing 11 centers, are operating in Wanju County.
The selected childcare centers will be provided with various benefits such as additional points and scores during new public-type childcare center selection and national/public re-entrustment evaluations, priority support for teaching materials and supplies, and childcare meal expenses, while guaranteeing autonomous operation.
