[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyun-joo] Yoon Seok-yeol, a presidential pre-candidate, directly criticized Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party presidential candidate undergoing a national audit in Gyeonggi Province, saying, "The Blue House of the Lee Jae-myung family? Just imagining it is terrifying."

On the 18th, Yoon posted on his Facebook under the title 'Lee Jae-myung's rhetoric: shamelessness, inconsistency, stubbornness, evasion of the point, disassociation, absurd sophistry,' stating, "(If Candidate Lee becomes president) from the president himself to the Blue House spokesperson, how many words that are neither truth nor Makgeolli will be poured out to deceive the people," he said.

Yoon analyzed Lee's attendance at the Gyeonggi Province national audit by the National Assembly's Public Administration and Security Committee that day, saying, "Contrary to expectations that he would resign from his governor position, Candidate Lee is undergoing the national audit. Some interpret this as a direct breakthrough strategy, but I see it differently," adding, "Candidate Lee is confident in his words. From the early days of the Daejang-dong gate incident, he has endured with his eloquence."

He continued, "However, there is no truth to be found in his words," and sarcastically said, "shamelessness, inconsistency, stubbornness, disassociation, denial, evasion of the point, insistence, covering up, absurd sophistry. This is the reality of the 'Lee Jae-myung rhetoric' he is confident in."

He pointed out that Candidate Lee changes his words to evade the point. Yoon said, "When the incident first broke out, he even praised himself, saying it was 'not something to be criticized but to be praised,' 'the greatest public interest recovery project since Dangun.' Then, when the reality of it being 'the greatest preferential treatment project since Dangun' was revealed, he subtly changed his words to 'a deal with the devil' or 'partial contamination.'"

Yoon also emphasized that people should not be misled by Candidate Lee's remarks during the national audit. He said, "In this audit, as he has done so far, he will try to escape the crisis with flashy but hardly truthful wordplay. He will use covering up, evasion of the point, denial, insistence, shamelessness, and absurd sophistry all at once," adding, "Wise citizens will not be deceived, but we must not be fooled by this fraudulent act."

Meanwhile, on his way to attend the national audit that morning, Candidate Lee met with reporters and strongly denied the preferential treatment allegations related to Daejang-dong, saying, "In conclusion, those who divided the stolen goods are thieves. And those who received the money are criminals."

He also said, "I empathize with and feel sorry for the public's sense of deprivation and their criticism of the performance of the Seongnam mayor, saying, 'Why didn't you do more? Why was it only this much?' I also tried my best, but I deeply apologize as the appointing authority for the suspicions that some related public officials were contaminated and that private business operators colluded."
