Tmon, Apeoteu Syndrome Yedam Sponsorship Social Donation Campaign... Until the 28th

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] TMON is conducting a customer participation social donation campaign until the 28th to extend a helping hand of hope to children suffering from rare incurable diseases who are in desperate need of assistance.

Apert syndrome is a rare incurable disease occurring at a probability of 1 in 60,000 due to a genetic mutation. It presents complex symptoms throughout the body, including craniosynostosis where the sutures of the skull close before the brain fully develops, syndactyly where fingers are fused, and developmental disabilities. Yedam, who was placed in a facility for disabled infants at 3 months old, was born with Apert syndrome, with fused fingers and toes as well as skull deformities. Now 14 years old, Yedam lives using only the thumb and little finger and endures daily life with a sunken face that makes even breathing difficult.

TMON, together with its partner Milal Welfare Foundation, planned this social donation to help Yedam receive the necessary treatments and surgeries. Donations can be freely made from 2,000 KRW to 10,000 KRW, and the funds raised will be used for Yedam’s facial bone reconstruction surgery and toe separation surgery. The entire amount raised from this social donation campaign will be delivered to Yedam without any deductions for fees or operating expenses. Details of the donors’ contributions and the use of funds will be disclosed in detail on the social donation platform two months later.

TMON’s social donation has been ongoing since the company was established in 2010. It collaborates with various domestic non-profit organizations to support families of children with illnesses from socially marginalized groups, low-income children, and emergency disaster responses. Recently, as part of its ESG management, it has expanded its efforts by conducting a campaign to donate surplus products together with the sharing store "Giving Plus" operated by Milal Welfare Foundation.

Meanwhile, Milal Welfare Foundation was established in 1993 to achieve complete social integration by living together with marginalized neighbors. It operates 47 facilities and 9 branches for domestic people with disabilities, the elderly, and community welfare, and carries out overseas relief and development projects in 11 countries.
