[Asia Economy Reporter Seoyoung Kwon] A post by a man in his 20s asking if it is okay to confess to his friend's 11-year-old younger sister has sparked controversy among netizens.

Recently, a post titled "Should I confess to my friend's younger sister?" was uploaded on an online community board. The author wrote, "She is my friend's younger sister, a fourth grader in elementary school, 11 years old," and asked, "I am 21 years old and secretly got her phone number from my friend to contact her. Does she seem to have feelings for me?"

The author also explained, "Honestly, she is not 9 or 10 years old, but 11, which is the age to soon enter middle school," and added, "She should be old enough to understand her own feelings to some extent," attaching a screenshot of their messenger conversation. In the photo, the author expresses affection toward the younger sister with messages like "Of course I like you," and "I like you so much," while the younger sister asks, "Do you like me?" and "Why do you make my heart flutter?"

However, netizens have strongly opposed the author's post. Comments included, "At 21, you should know how to behave properly," "I hope this is fabricated. What are you doing to a minor right now?" and "This kind of approach leads to grooming sexual crimes."
