Seoul Mobility Award Held to Discover Outstanding Mobility Companies and Technologies

Seoul Mobility Show (formerly Seoul Motor Show) Collaboration... Awards for Excellence in 4 Categories

[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] The Seoul Mobility Show Organizing Committee announced on the 15th that it will hold the 'Seoul Mobility Award' to discover outstanding companies in the mobility sector and review technologies.

The Seoul Mobility Award is held in conjunction with the transformation of the existing 'Seoul Motor Show,' which focused on internal combustion engines, into the 'Seoul Mobility Show' in line with the global trend of electrification and autonomous driving expansion. The event aims to envision the future of the mobility industry and discover innovative mobility technology companies, promoting a technology-centered awards ceremony where technology goals, judging, awards, exhibitions, and networking are organically connected.

The submission categories are ▲Eco-friendly Mobility (ECO Mobility) ▲Future Mobility (New Mobility) ▲Smart Mobility (Connectivity) ▲Mobility Platform & Service (Mobility as a Service), totaling four categories. Any domestic or international large corporations, mid-sized and small enterprises, or startups with related companies can participate. Applications open from the 25th, and applicants must submit an application form and a technology introduction document. The submission deadline is the 4th of next month.

The technologies submitted in the four categories will undergo document screening to select the first round of outstanding technologies, followed by an on-site presentation during the Seoul Mobility Show exhibition period to select and announce the final outstanding technologies. To ensure fair evaluation, the judging committee will consist of organizers, investors, automotive industry experts, and professional journalists.

Awards will be divided into one grand prize winner (overall category, prize money of 3 million KRW, certificate, and plaque), four excellence awards (one per category, prize money of 1 million KRW, certificate, and plaque), and merit awards (per category, certificate, and a 500,000 KRW discount on booth fees).

An official from the organizing committee stated, "The mobility industry is evolving as a core element of the Fourth Industrial Revolution," adding, "Since technology preemption is crucial, we will continue to strive to make this award a platform where excellent mobility technologies are revealed and competitiveness is secured, ultimately becoming a venue for technological innovation."

Meanwhile, the Seoul Mobility Show, held in conjunction with this award, will take place at KINTEX in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, from the press day on the 25th of next month until December 5th.
