[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Iseul] Studio&New, a content production and management subsidiary of media group NEW (CEO Jang Kyung-ik), announced on the 14th that it has signed an exclusive contract with actor Moo Jin-sung.
Moo Jin-sung has appeared in dramas such as "Sanhujoriwon," "Gumiho Recipe," "Natural Romance," "Night Walks the Scholar," and "Sadangboda Meon Uijeongbuda Gakkaun." He will play the role of Yoo-jin, a genius aspiring writer, in the comedy film "Genre Only Romance," starring Ryu Seung-ryong, Oh Na-ra, and Kim Hee-won, which is set to be released next month.
Studio&New stated, "Actor Moo Jin-sung has shown various impressive performances in his works so far and has been recognized for his potential. We expect that 'Genre Only Romance' will be an opportunity for him to take a step forward as an actor."
They added, "We will spare no effort in providing full support by mobilizing all our capabilities so that he can showcase his charm and talent in various fields as an actor. We ask for much interest and anticipation for actor Moo Jin-sung's future endeavors."
Meanwhile, Studio&New is a content studio that presents diverse genres of dramas, films, and original series with a global orientation, alongside its artist management business.
The drama and film division plans to release numerous works, including the youth growth romance drama "You and I: Police Class" starring Kang Daniel, and the large-scale series "Moving," with a total production cost of 50 billion KRW, directed by Park In-je, who directed "Kingdom" Season 2 based on Kang Full's popular webtoon, featuring a star-studded cast including Ryu Seung-ryong, Han Hyo-joo, and Jo In-sung.
The management division, launched in 2019 centered on rookie actors, represents actors Park Sung-joon, Ahn Si-ha, Kwon Hyuk, Do Eun-bi, and Lee So-young.
