[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] LG Electronics and Duksan Neolux won the grand prize at the Korea IR Awards.
The Korea IR Council announced on the 14th that it held the 2021 Korea IR Awards ceremony at 10 a.m. at the Glad Hotel in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.
At the event, awards were presented in two categories: Excellent IR Companies and Individual Awards.
In the corporate category, LG Electronics and Duksan Neolux received the grand prize, the Financial Services Commission Chairman's Award. Kakao and CJ ENM were selected for the Excellence Award, the Korea Exchange Chairman's Award. The Korea IR Council Chairman's Award for Merit went to CJ CheilJedang and Kia in the KOSPI market, and Dongwha Enterprise and EcoPro BM in the KOSDAQ market. In addition, a total of 20 companies, including the awardees, were selected as Excellent IR Companies.
In the individual category, one executive and one employee from each company in each market received the 'Best IRO Award.' Among executives, Yoon Hyun-seok, Executive Director of LG Chem, and Kim Woo-kyung, Executive Director of Seoul Semiconductor, were awarded. Among employees, Hwang Yeon-kyung, Senior Manager at Lotte Chemical, Kim Sang-yeol, Deputy General Manager at Techwing, and Ha Ji-yeon, Department Head at Studio Dragon, each received awards.
The Korea IR Awards annually select companies and IROs with outstanding IR activities among listed companies. The 21st ceremony was held on a small scale with only the minimum number of attendees, including awardees, to comply with COVID-19 quarantine guidelines.
