[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] “Nexon’s ‘Blue Archive’ will be launching on One Store next month.”

Lee Jaehwan, CEO of One Store, said this during a meeting with reporters after a roundtable held on the morning of the 13th in Yeouido, Seoul, aimed at devising ways to develop the domestic mobile app ecosystem.

Lee stated, “Game companies have expressed agreement in principle with the spirit of the win-win agreement, recognizing that the domestic app market needs to be revitalized and expanded to reduce dependence on overseas platforms. Specifically, Nexon’s Blue Archive plans to launch simultaneously on One Store, Google Play Store, and Apple’s App Store next month.”

At the roundtable, domestic app markets such as One Store and Galaxy Store, along with eight leading domestic mobile content companies (Nexon, Netmarble, NCSoft, Wavve, TVING, Melon, Genie Music, and Flo), signed a ‘Win-Win Agreement for the Revitalization of the Domestic App Market.’

The participating companies agreed on ▲ fostering fair competition and a co-growth environment within the domestic mobile app ecosystem ▲ preventing harm to domestic users and enhancing their rights ▲ ensuring content entry without unfair discrimination against domestic content companies ▲ and supporting smooth content entry by domestic app market operators.

During the roundtable, the ‘3N’ companies?Nexon, Netmarble, and NCSoft?expressed positive consideration toward releasing newly launched games on domestic app markets including One Store, in line with the spirit of the win-win agreement.

Additionally, CEO Lee reiterated plans for overseas expansion. He said, “Demand is growing in Southeast Asian regions such as Taiwan, Thailand, and Indonesia, where many Korean game companies have already entered, so we will start services focusing on those areas early next year. We also plan to source not only games but K-content apps to open the market.”
